Hi, I'm Hai

As a registered psychologist, I recognise the challenges and speedbumps that we all come across during our day-to-day, but sometimes we get to a point where things seem too much to handle. I have a genuine interest in each of my client's experiences, encouraging them to be natural and relaxed so that a safe, trusting therapeutic alliance can be formed.

I am a warm, open, and accomodating clinician who is passionate about helping my clients regain focus and direction when life has led them to feel stuck, helpless, or abandoned. I have a particular interest in working with individuals throughout transitional stages in life (primarily adolescents and adults), promoting growth and development as they step closer to achieving their life goals. I have a natural curiosity in hearing the stories of my clients from all walks of life, which I find often leads to a good foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship. From this alliance, I would use a collaborative approach to help gently identify and better understand the challenges they face and to develop intuitive strategies to successfully overcome them. Once my clients successfully navigate through these difficulties, I support them in realising their true potential. I completed my Master of Professional Psychology in Australia and I have worked in various contexts including government schools, disability, palliative care services, and telehealth services. By working in a variety of settings I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of people, each with a unique set of characteristics.

My Approach

I like to approach my sessions with an open mind and curiosity. Every person has their unique story and experiences that shape them into the person they are. I aim to use this to help me better understand my client's struggles and to tailor a therapeutic, evidence-based approach that works for them. I have worked with various types of issues including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship/interpersonal issues, low motivation/self-esteem, workplace/study stress, grief/loss, and suicidality/self-harm. I tailor specific therapeutic methods to each individual, primarily working within the framework of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). No matter the approach, I strive to ensure my clients reach their personal milestones and overcome the challenges that face them.
