Hi, I'm Kate

I am a warm, open and collaborative clinician with extensive experience and a passion for working with clients across the lifespan. I value fostering a sense of connection with others and encourage openness and curiosity to engage and learn from experiences in my work as a psychologist. My goal is to support and help empower my clients to most effectively navigate and grow through life’s challenges and its inevitable ups and downs.

I am a Clinical Psychologist with research expertise at Macquarie University and the University of NSW and I am particularly interested in stepped care and e-mental health. I completed my Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University and was awarded the Doctor John Franklin Prize. I have experience in a variety of settings including telehealth, face-to-face individual and group therapy, research, hospitals and schools. I am genuinely curious about people’s individual stories, what motivates them to grow and supporting them on this journey.

My Approach

I provide individually tailored and evidence-based approaches and strategies to assist clients in gaining a better understanding of themselves, their difficulties and developing effective ways of managing and responding to these. I have worked with many different types of issues including anxiety and mood problems, life transitions, workplace and study stress, relationship and communication difficulties, sleeping problems, self-esteem issues, and burnout. I primarily work within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy frameworks and I also use elements of Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
