To access medicare rebates to reduce the out of pocket cost per session to $96.25 you will need a referral letter and Mental Health Treatment Plan (often called a MHCP or MHTP) from your GP. Book a longer appointment with your GP to allow time to address your concerns and process your mental healthcare plan. In some circumstances, you might be able to get up to 20 rebated psychology sessions per calendar year.
What's a MHCP? Read our Mental Health Treatment Plan page.
Our matching technology lets you browse our psychologists’ biographies and select a clinician, or filter your search to your specific needs. If you require an appointment quickly, simply browse our readily available psychologists.
Scheduling is quick and easy. Once you have selected your desired psychologist and session time, simply follow the steps to book and create your account. If you are accessing medicare rebates with an MHCP & referral you will be prompted to upload these documents in your booking process.
After your session, your psychologist will provide a summary and suggested course of action which will appear on your session log, alongside a graphical representation of your psychological distress over time (DASS-21 score). These resources are available to help you make progress in between sessions.
