What's after "Are you ok"?
When someone is not ok, we are here to provide professional psychological support. If you feel that your loved ones could use the help, we want to help them start by offering $60 off their first 3 sessions - that's $20 off per session.

Support a friend after checkin-in
R U OK Day has opened a lot of conversations with friends or family, but without the right training or resources, a lot of them might have stayed unresolved.
"I think you should see someone" can be hard to say and the history of stigma around mental health may make it feel like an insult or accusation. However, this may be the encouragement someone needs to make a change or take a step forward.
Start the conversation with "Are you OK?"

We all need support sometimes and, chances are, we've all had a friend in need. Sometimes you notice changes in behaviour, someone's light seeming dim, or just someone trying to cope with big changes in their lives.
If you are noticing changes in behaviour or having conversations where you believe a therapist could help there are ways to open the conversation with respect, care, and purpose.
The #1 tip? Start the conversation.
Listen and lead with compassion

Approach the conversation with care & concern and emphasise why you want to help.
Create a safe space for someone to share their concerns while you listen without judgement. Relating with your own experience can be helpful, but be mindful of shifting focus to yourself and ensuring you're there for them.
After listening to their concerns, if you feel that your friends would benefit from talking to a professional, it's totally ok to suggest seeking help from psychologists, and we're here to help with that.
If the conversation starts to feel outside what you feel comfortable managing or your capabilities to support you can call a crisis support service like Lifeline on 13 11 14 for immediate support and advice. If you believe someone’s life is in danger call 000.
When help is needed, you can leave the logistics to us

We know that cost can be a barrier to seeking support. Did you know that with a valid Medicare card, your friends might be able to claim medicare rebates for their psychology sessions?
Simply tell your friends to book an appointment with a GP to obtain a referral letter and mental health plan to access rebates.
With My Mirror your friends can access rebated sessions from $108/session (after Medicare rebates) and thanks to our friend60 offer, they will benefit from an extra $20 off their first 3 sessions. Simply share the promo code friend60 with them to unlock the offer (see terms and conditions).
Once ready, your friends can use our matching tool to find the right psychologists for their needs and schedules - this is a great starting point to share with anyone feeling overwhelmed by the process.
