After you choose a psychologist or use our matching tool, you will both be guided to create or link your accounts and book an 80‑minute couples session at a time that suits you. At the time of your appointment, you each log in, join the video call, and your psychologist will support you to explore your concerns, improve communication, and strengthen your connection together.

Is online couples counselling covered by Medicare?

Medicare rebates do not apply to online couples counselling or couples therapy sessions at My Mirror. Sessions are billed as private fees per couple, and you will see the full cost upfront when you book, with the primary account holder managing payment details.

Can we join couples therapy from different locations?

Yes - you can join your couples therapy session from different locations, using separate devices. If you prefer, you are also welcome to join from the same place and share one device, as long as you both feel comfortable and have a private space for your session.
