Hi, I'm Jenni

Hello, my name is Jenni. I am a caring, compassionate, and respectful Clinical Psychologist. I am also a mum, and a fellow human navigating this interesting journey of life. I started working in mental health over 20 years ago. Clients tell me that I am very down to earth and easy to talk to. I love the work that I do. It is really a privilege to get to know my clients, their stories and struggles, and to be a part of their positive change and growth. My goal is to help clients gain a new perspective and understanding of their challenges, and to work together with them to develop new ways of responding and being. This is particularly important in the current climate of change and challenge.
I completed my Master of Clinical Psychology at Edith Cowan University and have experience as a clinical psychologist in a variety of settings including e-mental health, face-to-face private practice, government departments, and non-profit organisations. I work with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages.

My Approach

As every person is different, my approach is individually tailored and evidence-based. My aim is to help my clients understand their difficulties in terms of thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and personal history. Together with my client, we then explore different strategies or options for change. I have worked with clients experiencing many different types of issues including anxiety, depression, addictions, eating disorders, relationship and communication difficulties, trauma, grief, stress, sleeping problems, self-esteem issues, and parenting problems.
My treatment approach is tailored to meet the need of each client involves Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Therapies, Solution Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, Brief Therapy, and psychotherapeutic approaches that help identify unconscious patterns which might be impacting a client’s current life experiences. My approach to therapy considers my client’s background-history, current life experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals. This approach helps my clients build both awareness and confidence so they can find new and more helpful ways of responding to others and challenging situations.
