Psychologist
I am a warm, open, collaborative and holistic clinician who has experience with, and a passion for, working with clients on their changes and growth across the lifespan. My goal is to effectively support and help empower clients to navigate and grow through life’s inevitable challenges. I believe this is particularly important for those battling adversity during our current strained times. I completed my Bachelor of Psychology at Western Sydney University and have experience as a Psychologist in a variety of settings including e-mental health, face-to-face private practice,
government bodies, research, and schools. I value working within a variety of settings and with a diverse group of clients, and I am genuinely curious about people’s individual stories, what motivates them to grow and supporting them on this journey.
Jennifer recommends clients to book 2 sessions at a time to ensure conditions of session.
I utilise individually tailored and evidence-based approaches and strategies to help my clients gain a better understanding of themselves and their difficulties. As part of this process, I help clients develop effective ways of responding to, and managing, these difficulties. I have worked with clients experiencing many different types of issues including anxiety and mood problems, life transitions, workplace and study stress, relationship and communication difficulties, sleeping problems, self-esteem issues and burnout. I also encourage working with parents to resolve and manage children’s behavioural difficulties.
I work primarily within the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) frameworks. In sessions with clients, I also use mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy (IT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and even PLAY THERAPY! With this combined approach, I empower my clients to develop a greater understanding of their feelings, actions and impact on others. Furthermore, my approach helps clients build the awareness and confidence to develop new and helpful ways of responding to others and challenging situations.
“My goal is to effectively support and help empower clients to navigate and grow through life’s inevitable challenges.”
