Hi, I'm Kelly

I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over twenty years of cross-cultural, international experience in helping people to make sense of and improve their emotional health. My mission is to help you go through and better manage emotional difficulties you may be experiencing. We will work together so you can develop your psychological skills further and use them to improve your wellbeing.

I have provided psychological treatment to people from all walks of life who went through a wide range of difficulties that impacted their mental health. I have helped people to improve their self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as to become more assertive and resilient in facing day-to-day emotional challenges. My extensive clinical experience includes providing evidence-based, personalised psychological treatment for anxiety, depression and stress-related symptoms, including trauma. I also provide psychological treatment to people with addictive behaviours, including substance abuse.
My main area of expertise is Psycho-oncology, which focusses on the mental health of people affected by an experience of cancer. People with a diagnosis of cancer may go through a wide range of psychological difficulties, including stress, anxiety, depression, fear of cancer progression, fear of cancer recurrence, grief and loss, as well as issues related to adjusting to the cancer diagnosis, treatment routine and other cancer-related challenges. Those individuals may feel overwhelmed by worries about the impact of their diagnosis on their loved ones, as well as by feelings of loneliness, of uncertainty about the future, or of helplessness facing the disease and its consequences. Physical pain and/or discomfort, as well as ‘foggy mind’, forgetfulness and other symptoms might also occur. Those signs and symptoms may come up at any stage of the disease trajectory, from diagnosis to survivorship. People in palliative care may also experience psychological difficulties that require specialised support.
Additionally, family and friends who care for a loved one with cancer might also go through psychological issues, which could be related to emotional pain and/or other challenges that caring for someone with that disease may involve.
I provide specialised clinical psychological care both to people with cancer as well as to individuals who may not have the disease themselves, but who are caring for someone diagnosed with it.

My Approach

People say I have a warm, empathetic and easygoing manner. Those characteristics are at the base of my approach with all my clients. I foster a caring, down-to-earth, client-centred relationship with all people who seek my support, always being respectful to each person’s story, preferences and possibilities. My role is to listen to people and to pay close attention to their story and to their feelings, so to assist them figuring out ways to deal with their emotional issues. I help my clients to develop and use skills for managing emotional challenges with independence as they go about their lives.
