Hi, I'm Kirk

Hi, I'm Kirk. I often get asked if i'm a Star Trek fan. I hope to support your mental health with warmth, compassion, understanding and just a little bit of humour.

My migrant upbringing taught me to listen deeply; joyful, colorful stories were rarely singular - they held variations, translations, and layered family interpretations. This shaped my understanding that every person’s narrative is rich, multifaceted, and deserving of curiosity and care.

Growing up in Australia, time in nature has been an anchor for clarity and wellbeing throughout my work in mental health. My connection to the environment encourages me to look up, notice my surroundings, and embrace the journey — even when the boulder ahead feels large.

I have worked in mental health for over 16 years, supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges. My early work centred around families and individuals experiencing addiction, later expanding into PTSD treatment and veteran support. I then began a new chapter in general medical and primary care settings, working closely with LGBTIQA+, CALD, and ATSI communities.

Continuing in the general health space, I am furthering my work with neurodiverse people, collaborating within multidisciplinary, neuroaffirming teams to enhance holistic care.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe people are inherently resilient, and that therapy offers a space to reconnect with this strength- especially when life feels overwhelming or uncertain.

Time outdoors keeps me balanced; nature has a way of returning us to what matters most. In my clinical work, I take a similar stance -slowing down, noticing what is present, and honoring the inner wisdom each person brings.

I am committed to creating a safe and affirming therapeutic environment where people feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. I draw from evidence-based frameworks, including Internal Family Systems, Emotion-Focused Therapy, EMDR, CBT, and Compassion-Focused Therapy.

My passion lies in helping clients find clarity, meaning, and movement toward what feels authentic and life-giving.
