Hi, I'm Lee-Anne

I believe that understanding the deeper roots of difficulties is key to creating meaningful change. My approach is eclectic and blends evidence-based therapies like CBT, CPT and DBT with psychodynamic insights, tailored to each person’s needs. I hope to work with clients to foster a deeper self-awareness, confidence, and sense of lasting wellbeing.

I am a clinical psychologist with more than two decades of experience working across a range of public and private mental health settings. My work has focused on supporting children and adolescents struggling with emotional dysregulation, school refusal, anxiety, and depression, as well as adults living with complex and enduring mental health difficulties.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that meaningful change begins with understanding. I draw on psychodynamic ideas to help individuals explore how past experiences, patterns of relating, and unconscious processes shape their current difficulties. I find that when people gain insight into these patterns, they are better able to create new ways of coping, relating, and living.

Alongside this, I integrate a range of evidence-based therapies to meet each person’s unique needs, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and CBT for Insomnia. I have an interest in Perinatal psychology and have completed Circle of Security training, which informs my work with parents and caregivers in strengthening attachment and family relationships.

I value building a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative. My aim is to support people in developing both insight and practical strategies, helping them to not only manage immediate challenges but also create lasting change.

My Approach

My approach combines psychodynamic understanding with evidence-based therapies, delivered in a warm, down-to-earth, and sometimes gently humorous way. I believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy — humour can make difficult conversations feel safer and more human. I aim to create a compassionate space where clients feel at ease while exploring the deeper roots of their struggles.
