Hi, I'm Lin

I am a Registered Psychologist who value empathetic, openness and non-judgmental approach. I am passionate in working with my clients to relieve their psychological distress and maximise their potential through healthy thinking, feelings and behaviour. I strive to listen, understand and explore issues that are important to my clients’ personal growth and development. My key goal is to help my clients to see growth opportunities through life crisis and turning them into their personal strengths.

I graduated with Bachelor and Master in Applied Psychology in Australia more than 10 years ago. Before practising in private practices, I worked primarily in coaching, counselling and personal development area. This sets a strong foundation to work with vulnerable clients in bringing out their strengths and values. I have experience in working directly with private patients, couples and underprivileged people from all walks of life, including migrants, Aboriginal Australians, both face-to-face consultation or via Telehealth. It is truly a rewarding experience to be a part of a change journey with my clients and see them grow into becoming resilient individuals.

My Approach

I structure my therapy approach to be based on my clients’ needs and therapeutic goals. I work primarily within a strength-based model with a range of techniques derived from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I am also trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy L1 & L2 for couples. As part of these processes, I help clients to gain a better understanding about their needs and prioritise effective ways of responding to their life challenges. I often work with clients who are experiencing a range of mental health issues to achieve a positive outcome for them.

My key goal is to help my clients to see growth opportunities through life crisis and turning them into their personal strengths.
