Hi, I'm Lynn

My name is Lynn and I have worked predominantly as a Clinical Psychologist in New Zealand and Australia. I have worked in both private, educational and public health settings providing mental health support for individuals across various age groups. I specialised working with children, adolescents and young adults presenting with various mental health disorders, chronic pain, physical health issues, neurodevelopmental disorders (eg Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD) and disability (physical and intellectual disability). I worked extensively with children, adolescents, young adults and families providing support managing stressors that comes with their partner's and family members physical and/or mental health condition.

I am an approachable, compassionate and respectful person who believes that every individual have a different life trajectory based on various life experiences and background. My goal is to support individuals to achieve good quality of life despite life challenges and individual circumstances. I believe that circumstances for every individual can change at any given time and sometimes working through these unprecedented changes can be challenging.

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist trained in Adelaide, South Australia. I have a background of working with people from vast cultural background from working in Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. I have worked in both private, educational and public health settings providing mental health support for individuals across various age groups. I specialised working with individuals with various mental health disorders, physical health issues and disability (physical and intellectual disability).

My Approach

I practice based on a person-centered approach, working collaboratively with individuals to understand themselves and their challenges. Part of this process involves working with individuals to develop helpful ways to respond and cope with challenges. I have worked with individuals managing personal, relationship, work and life challenges.

My practice is primarily based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also adopt approaches from Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) informed approach and Narrative therapy. With this combined approach, I support clients to develop a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings and behaviour how this has been impacting themselves and others.
