Hi, I'm Michelle

I am an empathetic and collaborative practitioner with a warm and supportive interaction style. As your therapist I am committed to working with you to explore your current challenges and personal beliefs and values, utilize your own strengths and resilience, and equip you to navigate and grow through life's challenges. I am passionate about working collaboratively towards identified goals and positive outcomes.

I completed my Master of Clinical Psychology at Charles Sturt University and have experience as a clinical psychologist working with clients (in particular adults and older adults) from a wide range of demographic backgrounds. I have experience working in a variety of settings including telehealth, face to face therapy and community organisations. I have a keen interest in the relationship between physical health and emotional well-being.

My Approach

Every individual has unique needs, so I will always tailor my approach to individual client needs and preferences. I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, self esteem, grief, life transitions, trauma, and relationship problems. I work primarily from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy framework and also utilise other evidence based approaches including Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. The underlying goal of my approach is to give you a deeper understanding of your current experience, in order to assist you to make positive and lasting change. I may challenge you in a supportive way, offer you a different perspective, and suggest a range of coping strategies, but I will never tell you how to live your life.
