Hi, I'm Richard

I am warm, open and collaborative clinician with extensive experience and a passion for
working with clients across the lifespan (in particular, children and adolescents). My goal is to support and help empower my clients to most effectively navigate and grow
through life’s challenges and its inevitable ups and downs. I am genuinely curious about
people’s individual stories, what motivates them to grow, and supporting them on this
journey. I am a General Psychologist with experience in a variety of settings including
telehealth, face-to-face individual and in schools.

My Approach

I provide individually tailored and evidence-based approaches and strategies to assist clients
in gaining a better understanding of themselves, their difficulties and developing effective
ways of managing and responding to these. I have worked with many different types of issues including anxiety and mood problems, life transitions, workplace and study stress, relationship and communication difficulties, sleeping problems, self-esteem issues, and burnout. I primarily work within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks. These approaches empower clients to develop a greater understanding of their thoughts, feelings and actions, their impacts, and developing new and helpful ways of responding. I also use elements of Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Neuropsychotherapy and Schema Therapy.
