Hi, I'm Ryan

I’m passionate about co-creating a safe, authentic space where clients can explore and grow. I draw on my clinical experience to support each person’s unique process, helping them build insight and resilience in their own way. Therapy, to me, is a collaborative and dynamic exchange—one that invites shared presence, curiosity, and genuine human connection.

I’m a calm, compassionate, and empathic practitioner. Alongside my work as a school counsellor, I’m also a parent of two teenagers, a partner, son, surfer, and motorcyclist. As a Zen student who meditates regularly, I’m drawn to exploring how ancient wisdom can meet modern life.

Before becoming a psychologist, I was a high school music teacher, where I loved helping adolescents and their families find meaning and creativity in learning. My background in the performing arts continues to shape how I connect with clients—supporting them to express, grow, and live with greater awareness and ease.

My Approach

I’m passionate about helping men find steadiness and clarity in their mental health, and I’ve had the privilege of working with people of all ages and backgrounds. My approach blends mindfulness—bringing kind, non-judgmental attention to thoughts and feelings—with trauma-informed therapies such as relational psychoanalysis, narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, and ACT. I aim to create a calm, genuine space where insight and change can unfold naturally.
