Hi, I'm Brett

Growing up in a small coastal town, I have always felt a strong connection to the ocean. Outside of work, you'll often find me surfing, swimming or enjoying time outdoors with family and friends.

I am a registered psychologist with experience supporting adolescents (aged 15 years and older), adults and couples across a wide range of mental health concerns. Throughout my career, I have worked in regional NSW, private practice, a private hospital, and with veterans and their families, providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each person's unique needs.

Before becoming a psychologist, I worked as an electrician. After making the decision to change careers later in life, I realised that my greatest sense of purpose came from supporting people through life's challenges. Having worked in a trade before entering psychology gives me an appreciation of the pressures and experiences many everyday Australians face, and I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life.

My Approach

I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where people feel heard, understood and respected. I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based strategies, and evidence-based treatments for trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). My goal is to work collaboratively with you to build practical skills, strengthen resilience, process difficult experiences where appropriate, and help you move towards the life you value most.
