Hi, I'm Cheryl

I'm a Psychologist who walks alongside people of all ages as they face life’s complex challenges—from neurodivergence and low mood to anxiety, trauma, and experiences of violence or physical disability. I bring a thoughtful, compassionate approach, and offer a safe, supportive space where healing can begin and growth is gently nurtured.

I am a compassionate and results-driven psychologist with more than a decade of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults, including clients with complex presentations and trauma histories. In my previous roles I have provided tailored, evidence-based counselling to individuals across the lifespan, blending therapeutic insight with my background in education and early childhood development.

With dual qualifications in psychology and teaching, I bring a holistic, strengths-based approach to clinical care—one that fosters secure attachment, emotional resilience, and sustainable wellbeing. My work is guided by trauma-informed principles, inclusive practices, and a deep commitment to family-centred intervention and community-based support.

Beyond my professional roles, I’ve volunteered for variety of community based organisations: providing support for mothers with PND, on committees for early childhood centres or after school care, delivering Meals on Wheels, visiting elderly patients in hospital and Bushcare.

My Approach

I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive therapeutic environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and respected. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, trust, and collaboration. Drawing on evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, and EMDR, I adopt a client-centred approach that promotes healing, personal insight, and sustainable growth.
