Hi, I'm Christopher

Life can often be painful. Paradoxically, there is also meaning and joy. To help move through this mystery, Chris offers a non-judgemental, evidence-based approach with a focus on work and meaning.

Chris is a registered psychologist who offers talk therapy (counselling) based on CBT and ACT with an emphasis on strengths, mindfulness and emotion. He also provides EMDR therapy. He welcomes people with a range of issues and is drawn to working with people who have anxious or depressive symptoms.

Chris recognises that people often are facing important existential or philosophical crises. He helps people to find where value lies and where energy might be better spent. His core values in therapy are non-judgement and dignity. Chris likes people. He welcomes all ages, genders and personalities. Chris has particular experience working with young adults and university students navigating the pressures of early adulthood.

Chris has had careers in education and research prior to obtaining his full registration as a psychologist in 2024. He enjoys bushwalking and building dry stone walls.

Cultural Competency

I have completed a Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Competence Training.

I have an appreciation for the diversity of culture throughout Australia and believe that systemic changes should be baked into our legal and organisation structures. Having not grown up in Australia, it has been useful to have this training to understand Australia and its people.
