Hi, I'm Jay

I’m a psychologist with a genuine interest in getting to know you, your experiences, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

My approach is collaborative, empathic, and inclusive. I aim to offer a safe, consistent, and validating space where we can explore what you are facing and find a way forward that reflects what matters most to you.

I bring respectful curiosity and gentle optimism to our work together, helping you explore challenges, recognise strengths, clarify values, so we can identify useful, helpful, evidence-based ways forward.

My practice is Neurodivergence-Affirming, LGBTQIA+ allied, culturally inclusive, and welcoming of people of all abilities and backgrounds. I also recognise that this is ongoing work, so I’m always open to learning more.

I have been practicing psychology since 2019 and have been lucky to work with a huge variety of people from so many walks of life. I have my Masters in Professional Psychology, and completed my Honours thesis in a concept called prospective memory, which is the ability for our brains to remember and complete tasks. This means I have heaps of tools and strategies to offer my clients when it comes to getting stuff done.

My Approach

I work with people from age 12 right through adulthood, supporting clients with concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, identity, relationships, minority stress, ADHD, Autism, and more.

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies that I tailor to your needs, preferences, and goals. The therapies I use include ACT, CBT, TF-CBT, Narrative Therapy, DBT-informed therapy, SafeSide, and Neurodivergence-Affirming approaches. Please feel free to ask me about any of these in our sessions together, I will be happy to answer all of your questions about what these therapies include and can be helpful for.
