Hi, I'm Joanne

I am a Registered Psychologist and am currently completing my registrar program in Counselling Psychology. I understand that it can be a big step in reaching out to speak to a psychologist, and I strive to create a warm, safe and trusting relationship with clients to make the process as comfortable as possible. I have experience working with both adolescents and adults and I enjoying working with clients to harness their strengths in facing their individual challenges. I am passionate about supporting clients to find a sense of wellbeing and balance in living a life that has meaning to them.

My Approach

I have a friendly and down to earth therapeutic style and tailor my approach to suit each individual person. I utilise a number of evidence-based psychological interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Practices and Schema Therapy. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and the importance of creating a warm and comfortable place for clients to work through their life challenges.
