Hi, I'm Kay-Sheree

I am an Experienced Psychologist with a caring, compassionate and personalised approach to therapy, I specialise in a range of mental health issues, including trauma, borderline personality disorder, adult ADHD, ASD, anxiety, substance misuse, and challenging behaviour. My goal is to assist clients in accepting their unique selves while building strategies to manage challenges and make positive changes.

I am a dedicated and experienced Psychologist with a compassionate, client-centred approach to therapy. I aim to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals feel genuinely heard and respected. I have extensive experience working mental health challenges, including trauma, borderline personality disorder (BPD), adult ADHD, anxiety and big emotions and challenging behaviours. My special area of interest is supporting clients with a history to substance misuse and addictions due to working for many year in drug and alcohol services. This shaped my approach to therapy to be free from judgement, trauma informed and client centred.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is built on a strong foundation of evidence-based modalities and integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
My primary aim is to help clients embrace their authentic selves while building effective strategies to manage difficulties, improve emotional wellbeing, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Cultural Competency

I have completed a Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Competence Training.

I feel competent in working with people who identify with being Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. Training has given me an appreciation for culture and how this impacts clients mental, physical, and spiritual health. It has also given me an understanding of the challenges faced by clients due to historical experiences and how this impacts people in the present.
