I am a genuine, open and respectful clinician with broad experience working with clients from across the lifespan and through numerous challenges. I seek to empower individuals to grow through their present struggles to build strength and resilience on the other side.
I have, since 2001, provided and researched the efficacy of virtual and remote psychological counselling. I am a strong proponent and enthusiastic supporter of this evidence based online approach.
I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from City University in Seattle, Washington and have diverse experience providing psychological support to people in clinical, counselling, forensic and neurological settings. I have worked with individuals, corporations, hospitals, universities, governments and military organisations (including NATO) over 25 years providing psychological interventions, assessment, training and consultation. I have worked as a Psychologist across 5 continents in dozens of countries providing effective interventions to diverse populations.
I partner with my clients to provide an individual and evidence-based approach to gain both understanding of, and effective management strategies for, their current challenges. I have worked across a wide variety of common issues including, but not limited to, mental health struggles such as Depression and Anxiety, substance abuse and dependence disorders, trauma, brain injury, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship issues, communication, and workplace stress and transition.
I work primarily with the psychological approaches of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused Therapy. In sessions with clients I will also use Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and Schema Therapy. Using an individually tailored approach my client’s and I collectively reach effective milestones for better responding and coping with challenging situations.
“I seek to empower individuals to grow through their present struggles to build strength and resilience on the other side.”
