Hi, I'm Laura

I have a flexible approach, finding the best way to support you to achieve what you are here for. My particular areas of interest are those survivors of trauma and domestic violence, and those with relationship challenges.

I would describe myself as non-judgemental and genuine, and I have experience with both adults and adolescents in a variety of settings (telehealth, face to face, in treatment facilities, groups, community health, and in correctional facilities).

I have an extensive range of experience working within the Criminal Justice System (assessment and treatment), disability, private practice, drug and alcohol, public health, and other mental health services.

My most recent experience is with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, and those with trauma backgrounds. This is a particular area of interest and expertise for me.

My Approach

My approach is evidence-based and tailored to your needs. I enjoy helping my clients understand themselves better and learn ways of managing the challenges that exist for them. I have seen clients from all walks of life with challenges such as impacts from trauma or domestic violence, relationship issues, anxiety, depression and stress (just to name a few).

I have training and experience in a number of therapeutic modalities including (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma Informed Practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy.
