Hi, I'm Liam

I provide a multidisciplinary approach to therapy with an emphasis on cognitive, behavioural, and solutions-focused practices. I have years of experience working with disabled clients, as well as with Medicare clients in private practice. I have first-hand experience working with clients in crisis and helping clients to build up everyday living skills to overcome the unique challenges they face. I accept both juvenile and adult clients.

My experience supporting others came first as a disability support worker, providing practical and hands-on front-line support to clients. After this I shifted to Psychology and Behaviour Support, where I continue to provide mental healthcare to all those in need.

I have worked with diverse groups including First Nations, LGBTQ+, CALD and other groups of people, providing a culture-sensitive approach to therapy. I have worked with clients across the lifespan, from 6 to 86, helping clients to overcome challenges in a way that speaks to them, working up to achieve their goals.

My university experience includes expertise in understanding the childhood and developmental needs of young clients. My Honours thesis focused on understanding the underlying processes of resilience and the extent to which current research is applicable to a South Asian-Australian population. I also have two bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Statistics.

My Approach

I work on a collaborative approach with clients, incorporating CBT, ACT, DBT, Solutions-focused therapy and other modalities to create a tailor-made therapy structure, guided by the clients SMART goals and within my scope of expertise.
