Hi, I'm Melissa

Melissa has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, first as a registered nurse and now as a registered psychologist. She is a caring and authentic therapist who enjoys interacting with people and providing guidance and support.

Melissa grew up in the beautiful city of Perth, Western Australia, where she commenced her career as a registered nurse. It was during her mental health rotations that she realised she had a passion for working with people to improve their mental wellbeing. As such, she returned to study to complete a further six years of training to become a registered psychologist.

Melissa is a wife and mother and has a personal appreciation of the complexities of living in blended family environments, difficulties transitioning to the role of parent and navigating the often-challenging teenage years. Melissa is gentle and supportive in her approach. She is respectful and empathetic, and she offers a warm and caring environment.

My Approach

Melissa is a person-centred and gestalt trained therapist and places a very strong emphasis on the relationship between herself and her clients. She has a particular interest in helping people experiencing relationship problems (family, work, personal), those who experienced childhood abuse/neglect, and those living with illness or supporting someone who is.
