Mica Lanzini

Hi, I'm Mica

Well done on taking the step to begin therapy/counselling. It can be daunting and takes courage to face the unknown. I hope to meet you soon and help you feel comfortable and safe to work on the challenges you are facing.

I am a warm, authentic and open psychologist who is passionate about providing a safe space for people, without judgement, to express themselves, increase understanding and learn ways to cope with challenges.

I have experience working with adolescents, families and adults with a wide range of issues. I am creative in my approach and have worked across many different settings including alcohol and other drug counselling, residential rehabilitation, school based counselling, private practice, EAP, adolescent mental health and suicide prevention, perinatal mental health, group based therapy and video counselling.

I believe that having positive and healthy relationships and connection are fundamental and look forward to creating a connection with you to support you to work through your challenges.

My Approach

I believe that every person has internal strength and resources and my job is to help you connect with this and build on it. There is no one size fits all approach and I will adapt the way I work based on your individual needs. I aim to make therapy a place of safety and acceptance that can be practical, fun or creative depending on your goals.

Throughout my years of practice I have tended to lean towards an Interpersonal Process approach to therapy, with interpersonal relationships being the focus, however I also draw from many other approaches in my practice.
