Hi, I'm Naomi

Hello and thank-you for viewing my profile.

I recognise that it takes great courage to seek help while enduring difficulties and I believe that building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is one of the most crucial components for facilitating positive change. I value my clients as unique individuals and aim to foster a sense of hope, determination and resilience in people to improve their lives in whatever capacity is meaningful to them.

I completed my Master of Professional Psychology at Monash University and have experience as a psychologist in a variety of settings including e-mental health, face-to-face private practice, research, hospitals and educational settings. I have worked with indivduals across all stages of the lifespan with a broad spectrum of presenting problems.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is holistic and draws upon a range of evidence-based treatments that keep the unique needs of the client in mind. I primarily utillise Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks. In sessions with clients, I also use Mindfulness, Schema Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. With this combined approach, I aim to empower people to develop a greater understanding of their feelings, thoughts and behaviours and build the awareness and confidence to develop new ways of being and relating to others.
