Hi, I'm Sharon

I am a warm and empathic registered psychologist and clinical neuropsychotherapist with over 20 years of training and experience in counselling and personal development.

My years of experience have seen me assisting individuals to overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, poor confidence and many other problems. I also have extensive experience in counselling both individuals and couples struggling with issues such as domestic violence and relationship difficulties.

In session, you will be offered a warm, non-judgemental and respectful environment. The relationship we build is very important to me. It is my aim to ensure that you will feel entirely comfortable exploring matters of sensitivity without the usual level of distress that typically goes with discussing personal matters.

I believe the key to overcoming any problem is to be able to look deep within oneself to determine what you as an individual can do to change the way you think, feel and behave. Ultimately, this brings about an inner-peace and a sense of satisfaction with oneself and with life in general.

My Approach

My sessions are individually tailored to your needs and I utilise a range of differing therapeutic modalities to help you achieve your goals. For you, this might feel like we are just "having a chat". As we chat though, rest assured that I am drawing from a toolbox of many techniques to challenge your thoughts, feelings and emotions with my aim being to support the growth you wish to achieve. My specific interest in neuropsychotherapy allows me to teach you what is happening in your brain and body so that you can understand why I am suggesting the techniques for change that I do. We will be partners in your growth and I am with you every step of the way.
