Hi, I'm Simon

Many people seek therapy because they feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them - whether that's anxiety, stress, burnout, low mood, relationship difficulties, or habits they can't seem to change. I work with adults and older adolescents to better understand these challenges and develop practical, sustainable ways forward.

I'm a Clinical Psychologist with experience working across public health, private practice, research, and specialist treatment services. My background includes work with NSW Health and the University of Sydney Treatment & Research Clinic, supporting people experiencing a wide range of psychological and life challenges.

I often work with people who are thoughtful, capable, and yet find themselves repeatedly facing the same difficulties. They may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, exhausted by ongoing stress, weighed down by self-criticism, struggling in relationships, or frustrated by habits and behaviours they want to change.

My particular areas of interest include anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, behavioural addictions, and helping people navigate difficult periods of their life. While these challenges can look very different on the surface, they are often maintained by underlying patterns in the way we think, feel, and respond to life's pressures.

I aim to provide a calm, non-judgemental space where we can work together to better understand what's happening and identify practical steps towards meaningful change. My goal is not simply to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you build greater confidence, flexibility, and resilience over time.

Seeking support can feel like a significant step. I aim to make the process approachable, collaborative, and focused on what matters most to you.

My Approach

My approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and tailored to your goals. Depending on your needs, I may draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based approaches. Together, we'll explore the factors contributing to your difficulties, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward. I value balancing insight with action—understanding why difficulties occur while also focusing on meaningful, sustainable change.
