Hi, I'm Valentina

I am a registered psychologist with over a decade of psychological experience gained primarily while working within government departments such as the Development Disability sector, Family and Community Services, Health & Hospital and in the community.
Throughout my own life experiences, I have embraced spiritual growth and have learnt to appreciate that individuals possess an inner strength and wisdom that can play a vital role in their own personal development and healing. This is known in psychology as a process of self actualisation.

Within this client centred framework, I am able to incorporate other psychotherapeutic techniques such as cognitive behaviour therapy, interpersonal relations therapy, brief solution focused therapy and mindfulness techniques. The goal is to assist each client with their own unique transition through life’s challenges and move them toward balance and harmony.

My Approach

Each individual client is unique so tailoring a treatment approach that will address their current needs is important. It may be a single therapeutic approach or a combination of approaches. This is done jointly with the client, whereby once the issues have been identified and the the rationale for a treatment discussed, we then work together to achieve your goals. Together, we evaluate progress throughout the therapy sessions so that you feel satisfied with your progress.
This is a joint approach where the client and I work together to achieve the best outcome for them.
